Dude, Where’s My Sequel?

I’m working on it, okay? Don’t rush me.

Seriously, I’d love to blame my on-again, off-again blogging efforts on the fact that I’m writing a sequel to Wicked Cool, but the truth is, I’m just a lazy blogger.

I’m also a painfully slow writer. And I really, REALLY want to have Scary Cool out in time for Halloween. So what little writing time I have, I am devoting to the book. Understandably, I hope.

I’ll check in when I can, though. I promise.

  1. Sorry about the pressure. Well. Only sorry about it if it feels unpleasant or slows you down. Or. . . . . ok. Sorry.

I’ll go nag the approximately dozen other writers from whom I am awaiting sequels. I swear being a reader has hazards these days. No one seems to write single title any more.

  2. I am dyin’ here waiting for that sequel! I seriously loved Wicked Cool and I can’t wait to see what happens next in Zara’s journey!!!

  3. Isn’t it awful? As an author, I can tell you that writing linked books is fun. But as a reader, I’ll admit that I prefer to find the series after it’s finished — so I can read them all in a row!

    1. Well … one for sure. LOL! I’m sort of “following my nose” on this one, and although it’s turning out well (I think), I’m not sure where it’s going to end up. If there are still unanswered questions at the end of this book (Book II), I just may have to write more.

I’m thinking about writing shorter follow-up works after this, though — breaking the story up into smaller chunks so it doesn’t take me so darn long to finish the books.

      Thanks for your interest!
